Fourth grade is an exciting year. We learn about our state, electric circuits, animal adaptations, water and erosion, multiplication, division, writing reports, and leadership. We follow the 7 Habits, set and meet individual goals, and have a lot of fun. Our field trips include Hohokam culture, the Sonoran desert, and the state legislature. We pack learning into each day and are amazed how we have grown at the end of the year. Our class motto comes from Yoda, "No. There is no try. There is do or do not." We DO!
My goal as a teacher is to make America stronger by educating young people. I have taught grades 4 through 12. The past 25 years at Gilbert Elementary have brought me contact with awesome families and colleagues. I cherish those memories and look forward to making new ones.
